    • About (SSP) State Scholarship Meaning
      • Launched by the Karnataka Government, the SSP portal works to distribute varied scholarships among students in need and who are eligible effectively.
      • Primarily, the SSP scholarship includes two segments: a Pre-matric scholarship (for the class below 10th) and a Post-matric scholarship (for the class above 10th).
      • The SSP Scholarship offers monetary aid to backward-class students, including SC, ST, and OBC categories that contribute to their education.
      • The official website of the state scholarship portal is https://ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in/, which includes seven departments offering scholarships. Only the domicile candidate of the concerned Karnataka state can apply from February to June end

Requirements

Application dates for SSC post-matric scholarship and pre-matric scholarship are expected to be in January for the year 2024.

  • Residents of the Karnataka state.
  • Must fall in the SC/ST and OBC category.
  • The annual family income should be less than 2.5 Lakhs for SC candidates
  • Must have scored in the 50% percentile in the last examination for SC candidates.
  • The annual family income should not be less than 2 Lakh for the ST candidate and 1 Lakh for the OBC candidate
